4 FOOD Street Kitchen Opens in Terminal 2

New Culinary Highlight at Munich Airport

With the opening of 4 FOOD Street Kitchen in Terminal 2, Level 04, Munich Airport has gained a new culinary highlight since mid-September. Covering a total area of 520 m² – including 365 m² of dining space – the operator Allresto Flughafen München Hotel und Gaststätten GmbH presents a modern gastronomy concept that combines international street food classics with Bavarian tradition.

Whether pizza, pasta, Asian cuisine, burger creations or Bavarian specialties –
4 FOOD offers a culinary journey for passengers and families. At its heart is the open counter area with four food worlds, visually connected by a 20-meter LED band.

The architectural concept was created by Mint Architecture AG. Gruschwitz GmbH was responsible for execution planning and implementation, further developing the original design into an extended concept and bringing it to life. This required adapting the planning to the specific conditions of the airport’s security area and meeting the highest standards in terms of materials, technical interfaces, and escape route requirements. At the same time, the design specifications were respected and Allresto’s new sales concept was consistently put into practice.

Warm wood tones, pastel shades and vibrant blue combine with a distinctive chandelier, elegantly crafted around an existing column, to create an inviting atmosphere. Various seating options – from bar tables and alcoves to classic table groups – provide variety and comfort. A particular highlight is the façade design that frames the dining area: different colors, materials and textures reflect the four food worlds, clearly distinguishing them while at the same time merging into a harmonious overall picture. The result is a strong visual focal point that underscores the project’s clear design language.

The overall concept is rounded off by a carefully curated selection of materials – wood, fabric, metal and tiles – creating an environment that is both modern and durable.

With five entrances from three sides, 4 FOOD Street Kitchen is seamlessly integrated into the passenger flow of the terminal, making it a vibrant meeting point for travelers from all over the world.
