Burberry Holdings GmbH, Vienna
Realisation of the Burberry concept in a listed building at the Kohlmarkt with front design – three floors with a total space of 366 m².
To ensure better utilisation within the retail space, the original historical condition of the building was restored. The ceilings built into the atrium in the first and second floor after the 1909.
construction of the building were first removed in stages, and an inside staircase with a glass roof over it was then installed in its place. Beneath this glass roof, a fibre optic light feature is attached as a central eye-catcher, to which decorative elements can be attached. The listed facade with wrought iron decoration has come into its own once more with the restoration of the original bronzing. The window frames in the first floor were also restored. The high-quality furnishings with detailed use of real-wood veneers set the scene perfectly for the Burberry concept.
