Sport, running, lifestyle and outdoor: TRETTER is breaking new ground with MOTION - thanks to innovative interior design for sports shops in Munich by Gruschwitz.

Sport, running, lifestyle and outdoor - that's what TRETTER MOTION stands for. The family business recently opened the new MOTION department in the flagship store in Munich's pedestrian zone.

Covering almost 300 square metres, the new department offers a comprehensive selection of shoes and sportswear from top brands. Thanks to the redesign, TRETTER presents the sports segment in a competent and modern way in order to offer its customers an unrivalled shopping experience.

Innovative store design at the TRETTER headquarters

The design of the new department also shows that over 75 years of company history is not just history, but also a strong focus on the future. Gruschwitz GmbH was responsible for the design and realisation. The clear and sporty look of the shop fittingly sets the stage for discovering the latest shoes from trendy lifestyle and sports brands.

The design consists of a continuous anthracite-coloured rear wall, spacious central tables and flexible area signage in a bright red-orange tone as a new accent colour for the sports area. An oversized ceiling ring light draws attention to the TRETTER MOTION area from afar and, in combination with the clearly defined colour contrast, activates emotions when shopping.

Shortly after entering the first floor, an anthracite-coloured running track guides customers indirectly to the sports department. Within the department, wooden dividing elements, spacious tables and corresponding signage clearly structure the space into the sports, running, lifestyle and outdoor segments. A circular seating area with a diameter of five metres serves as the central element in the middle of the space.

Managing Director Luca Tretter is completely satisfied with the result of the remodelling:

"The MOTION department is a complete success. With the new concept, we have expanded our range and are breaking new ground - and at a very high level. The response has been as we had hoped and we are receiving positive feedback from all sides. There is definitely a great deal of interest in sporty performance shoes and we are delighted to be able to cater to this!"
