The software development company JetBrains has opened a new office in Munich. The MY.O building on Christoph-Rapparini-Bogen was designed by the Munich interior design firm Gruschwitz in collaboration with the design studio D/DOCK.
Focus on sustainability and comfort
The interior design of the JetBrains Munich office emphasises sustainability and maximum comfort. With 12,000 m² of space, the office offers room for 360 employees. In addition to work areas, there are roof terraces, a cafeteria, a fitness room, massage room, event room and creative retreats such as a music and "makers" room.
The design concept: "The City"
The design concept "The City" combines urban planning elements with a people-centred approach. It promotes a balance between intimacy, encounters and flexibility that enriches everyday working life.
Interior design as an experience
Together with D/DOCK, the Gruschwitz team developed a concept that reflects the diversity of lifestyles at JetBrains. Each floor of the MY.O building has its own atmosphere. Employees can choose between different working environments depending on their task - be it behind curtains, in bright light or at standing workstations.
"Our aim was to create workspaces that feel like a home," says Irene Snel, head designer at D/DOCK. This approach emphasises JetBrains' values while integrating the art deco architecture of the MY.O building.
With inspiring views of the city and nature as well as well thought-out interior design, the project sets new standards for working environments.
